Community Involvement

community

What’s the backbone of a community? People.

The people at Vanderbilt Bone & Joint live and work in Franklin and Brentwood. Their commitment to the community goes beyond the clinic and their own families.

Doctors and athletic trainers from Vanderbilt Bone & Joint are present at nearly every high school sports game in Williamson County. Football, basketball, volleyball and more – it adds up to hundreds of games over the course of a school year. These experts provide on-the-spot medical treatment for injured athletes, ranging from muscle cramps to broken bones.

Vanderbilt Bone & Joint also provides free sports screenings for all the county’s student athletes each year, and supports numerous youth leagues through medical coverage and sponsorship.

Serving Williamson County goes beyond sports. Many Vanderbilt Bone & Joint specialists volunteer with local organizations, including BrightStone, a Franklin nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities; Show Hope, a local nonprofit assisting adoptions and providing medical care; and the American Red Cross, both our Williamson County Community Board and the Regional Chapter Board.

We are involved in the community because we live and raise our families here. Thank you for allowing us to play a role in your health care and your lives.
