Education & Training
Douglas Weikert, M.D., earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He completed fellowship training at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, Indiana in hand and microvascular surgery.
He is the current team physician for Vanderbilt University and the past president for the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Weikert has received numerous recognitions and awards as well as been published in many professional publications. He serves as the Medical Director of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Outpatient Surgery Center.
