Education & Training
With his combined training, Jim Fiechtl, M.D., RMSK, has a special interest in the acute care of orthopaedic injuries. His other interests include the non-operative treatment of orthopaedic injuries, sports concussion evaluation and care, and the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Dr. Fiechtl earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, serving as chief resident during his final year of training. He then completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, earning an additional certificate of qualification in sports medicine.

Jim Fiechtl, M.D., RMSK is board certified in emergency medicine with additional training in primary care sports medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fiechtl enjoys spending time with his family being outdoors, playing tennis and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoys volunteering through their church and working with the American Red Cross, serving both on the Williamson County Community and the Regional Chapter Board of Directors.
