Education & Training
Todd R. Wurth, M.D., earned his medical degree in 1998 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center. He completed fellowship training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh in the areas of hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder and microvascular surgery.
He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand with a certificate of added qualifications in surgery of the hand.
Dr. Wurth is the team physician at Independence High School. He is the recipient of the Vanderbilt Medical Group Five-Star Excellence Award for top scores in patient satisfaction and has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal multiple times as one of “Nashville’s Best Hand Surgeons.”

Todd R. Wurth, M.D., is board certified in orthopaedic surgery.
Outside of the practice of medicine, Dr. Wurth enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and physical fitness. He cherishes spending time with his wife, Kristi, and their two children.
